House renovation in Nea Smyrni

The new project undertaken by the MECHA Engineering team was the completion of an unfinished maisonette in Nea Smyrni, with a total area of ​​145 sq.m. on the 3rd and 2nd floor.

The design of the new house was done in such a way that all the daily activities of the owners can be served in the best way, fully covering all their needs and requirements.

On the level of the third floor we find two spacious bedrooms, one of which with ensuite bathroom and dressing room. There is also a second bathroom, a laundry room and a comfortable gym.

At the level of the 4th floor we find the open plan living room – dining room, kitchen and a wc.

The transition from one floor to another is made through the internal staircase made of metal frame, solid wooden presses and transparent triplex protective crystals.

The floors of both levels, except the bathrooms and the kitchen, are made of semi-solid polished wood. The living room and dining room are complemented by a specially designed composition with an energy fireplace, TV cabinet and bookcase.

In the kitchen area, the wood and the matte gray lacquer in combination with the quartz countertop, give a luxurious character to the house.

The bathrooms as places of hygiene and enjoyment, are fully equipped with thermostatic wall-mounted thermostatic faucets, walk-in bathtub or shower, hanging furniture made of natural veneer and of course hanging basins with built-in cisterns. The master bathroom with a combination of Calacatta marble tiles and dark gray is remarkable.

All the ceilings of the house are made of false plasterboard ceiling incorporating hidden lighting giving a warm atmosphere.

For the needs of the heating, a condensing gas boiler was installed, which at the same time serves the coverage with hot water in combination with a double energy solar water heater that is installed on the roof of the building.

In addition, for heating needs, a Daikin multi air conditioning system has been installed, where with a single outdoor unit on the roof, four indoor cooling-heating units are also supplied in the two bedrooms, the gym and the open-plan dining area.

Europa and ESS47 Hybrid series thermal break aluminum frames have been installed, which is a system of high specifications with simple design lines, which combines perfect functionality with modern aesthetics.

In all areas of the house there is a harmony in the color palette. The walls and ceilings are dominated by the white that comes and ties with the timeless wooden floor. The furniture and the equipment of the house are the elements that give color to the daily life of the inhabitants of the maisonette.
