Pediatric Clinic Renovation (2023)

Project Description

In Alimos, we completed another specialized healthcare project, transforming a 65 sq.m. property into a modern and fully functional pediatric clinic. The project was delivered in October 2023 and was designed to provide an environment that combines comfort, safety, and a positive experience for young patients.

The layout includes a waiting area, two examination rooms, the pediatrician’s office, and two restrooms, all carefully designed to meet the needs of both the medical staff and the children and their accompanying family members.

Design & Construction Works

The design focused on creating a welcoming and functional environment, where aesthetics, ergonomics, and day-to-day usability coexist harmoniously.

For the flooring, TARKETT vinyl flooring was selected due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and suitability for healthcare facilities.

In the waiting area, a custom-made structure in the shape of a house roof was designed, inspired by the simplicity of a child’s drawing. The installation serves as seating for both children and adults, while its vibrant color enhances the playful character of the space.

In the examination rooms, custom wooden furniture was designed and constructed, incorporating integrated steps and storage solutions. This approach facilitates children’s access to the examination beds while improving the overall functionality of the clinic.

Particular attention was also given to the restrooms, where white tiles were combined with colored grout and bold ceiling finishes, adding character and visual interest to the space.

The Result

The final outcome is a pediatric clinic that moves away from the conventional image of a medical facility and becomes an environment that helps reduce children’s anxiety while fostering a sense of familiarity and comfort.

Vibrant colors, custom-made constructions, and carefully considered details come together to create a contemporary, functional, and welcoming space that offers children a pleasant and safe environment.
