Apartment renovation in Agios Dimitrios

MECHA Engineering’s new project is the renovation of a 96 sq.m. maisonette in the area of Agios Dimitrios. 

The design of the new residence was done in a way that all the activities of everyday life could be served in the best way, fully meeting all the needs and requirements of the owners. On the ground floor there is the single space of the kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen is not visible at first glance because it is integrated into the single space, offering direct communication between those present. The ceiling is made of plasterboard which facilitates the uniform distribution of lighting in all parts of the space, through recessed or non-illuminating bodies. The earthy shades of the walls and floor are contrasted by black details such as the lamps themselves, the black socket switches, the fireplace vents or even various furniture and appliances.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. The floor is oak, same as the ground floor, but in the bathrooms the floor is tiled. The bathrooms are fully equipped with built-in faucets, walk-in showers, hanging furniture made of natural veneer and natural hanging basins with built-in cisterns. Also, the black details in the bathroom are remarkable. All the internal doors are in white lacquer to match the colour palette of the bedrooms. 

For the needs of heating, it was installed a gas boiler which provides  hot water in combination with a dual-energy solar water heater that is placed on the roof of the building. The same natural gas fireplace in the living room is sufficient to heat the single space on the ground floor.

Thermal break aluminum frames of the Europa company and ESS47 Hybrid series were installed, which is a high-spec system with simple design lines, which combines flawless functionality with modern aesthetics.

The general furnishings and equipment of the residence are remarkable. From the beginning of the project, there was good communication between the owners and the team of our company that undertook the decoration as well.
