House renovation in Athens

New complete renovation project by the Mecha team. An old apartment in the center of Athens and more specifically in Neos Kosmos was our new challenge. The house, although old, was completely modernized in order to be rented for short-term rentals (BnB). With the change of the internal layout, the kitchen was united with the living room, a new bathroom and a toilet were formed, while the bedroom remained in the same place. The whole floor of the house was covered with synthetic granite tiles measuring 60x60cm. The bathroom with clean and quiet lines with sanitary ware from Ideal Standard and with a false ceiling with hidden lighting comfortably serves the needs of its occupants. On the other hand, the toilet with the retro tile gives a volume to the space without getting tired. Special materials were used in the living room and kitchen area, such as the wood wall cladding in the living room, which in combination with the hidden lighting from the suspended ceiling give a modern style. The simple, warm kitchen with all modern requirements creates a beautiful corner of the house. New thermal break aluminum frames have been installed for the energy shield of the house, as well as a security door by Siamo and an alarm system by Paradox as protection against unwanted and security measures for the occupants. The predominant color on the wall surfaces is white while the same decorative items and furniture give their own touch. Finally, the bioethanol energy fireplace connected the space very nicely, giving it a welcoming character. What is certain is that such an apartment which is only 55 sq.m., in the center of Athens will become sought after in its rental.
