Apartment Renovation in Paleo Psixiko

The project concerns the total renovation of 147 sq.m. floor-apartment, built in the 1980s in a quiet area of Palaio Psychikos, intended for private residence.

The needs for spaces that the new study was asked to cover concern a single entrance, living room, kitchen and dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an auxiliary space as laundry and storage.

The study, at the level of floor plan and construction plan, was prepared in great detail, so that all issues of configuration, choice of materials and the multiple special constructions, so that they have been finalized before the start of the works.

The entire aesthetic of the space, according to the wishes of the owners, was designed in a minimal style, with the basic palette including oak shades in kitchen furniture, floors and wardrobes, while soft gray-beige shades in bathrooms and masonry surfaces. Contrast the imposing Tinos marble that previously existed in the living room and sitting room.

In more detail, in the project in question, in addition to the design, importance was also given to the energy upgrade of the residence. For the heating system, a Daikin natural gas boiler was installed, which, in cooperation with a hydraulic system of intelligent management with a solar water heater, achieves energy savings in terms of domestic hot water. Regarding heating, the use of a smart thermostat maintains the temperature of the rooms at the desired levels, saving maximum energy. For the cooling of the residence, air conditioning units were chosen, and those with the possibility of remote control.

The energy upgrade was also achieved with the use of new thermal break aluminum systems with four-season energy crystals from the ETEM company.

Built-in and non-built-in sanitary ware were installed in the bathrooms, with furniture in natural veneer. Hanging basins, washbasins made from the same tiles as the bathrooms, walk-in showers with glass crystals, recesses in external walls with hidden lighting contribute to the modernization of the bathrooms.

Contemporary and the new kitchen of Italian specifications in oak shades that in combination with the Bakelite counter in Travertino marble texture highlight the space, fully equipped with damping mechanisms, gola and smart storage mechanisms.

Wardrobes and interior doors perfectly matched the warm colors of the rest of the house, giving a harmonious effect as a whole. Also special is the special construction of the wardrobe-library in the living room which, in combination with the Ferres company’s cloisters, impresses the visitor upon entering the space.

The result was completed with the soft colors of Vivechrom where they highlighted the warmth and the new style that we wanted to give to the new residence!
