Maisonette Renovation in Kifisia

The new project undertaken by the Mecha Engineering team is the total renovation of a 3-storey detached house in the area of Kifisia. 

On the 1st level, with an area of 120,00 m2, there is a separate property, a playroom as well as auxiliary spaces. It has an independent entrance, while it is connected via an internal staircase to the rest of the building.

The 2nd and 3rd levels are an area of 240.00 m2 which is the main residence of the owners. 

On the 2nd level, there is the main entrance to the maisonette, as well as the single living-dining area, the kitchen, a guest room and a bathroom. The initial condition during the design was the kitchen area to acquire the necessary functionality, with the addition of a pantry space, as well as brightness with the opening of a large balcony door facing the garden, which was redesigned and configured according to the new requirements. 

In all the spaces it has been maintained a harmony due to material and earthy colors, while the semi-massive floor, the use of KOURASANIT pressed cement mortar applied to the most modern fireplace, and the oak elements create a warm atmosphere. 

The staircase leading to the 3rd level of the residence, looks like it was completely replaced, while only the necessary interventions took place. The wooden vertical slats decorate the staircase but also work as a protection and support railing, while hidden lighting shows the way. 

Going upstairs are the owner’s personal spaces, more specifically there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a WC. The master bedroom has a dressing room while the solid wood floor and hidden lighting maintain the warm and contemporary effect. 

Finally, we redesigned the exterior entrance and the fence of the house, which now connects the interior with the exterior environment, on the same aesthetic level. 

The purpose of the design of this total renovation was to offer the owners a new and different living experience.
